Knowing that, one local salon owner combined business with activism by adding a touch of pink to the hair of clients who donated to her breast cancer awareness fundraiser.
Rochelle Mosley, owner of Salon 804, tapped into her creativity to come up with a winning idea that her clients would appreciate.
“For the people who had mohawks, we put pink in the back,†Mosley told theGrio. “For some we put it in the bangs. Others, we put it on the side of the long hair styles.†With celebrities like Nicki Minaj donning bold hair colors, the idea has become more mainstream.
