In our new video series, Brand New You, our host Karen Taylor Bass (founder of thebrandnewmommy.com) chats with guests about reinvention, taking time for self and finding the balance between work and life.

Here, Karen catches up with singer Jill Scott at a fundraiser for Scott’s Blues Babe Foundation in Philadelphia. The two, joined by Blues Babe Executive Director Aisha Winfield, talk about juggling their careers and their families as moms, and how they plan to have it all in 2011.

    HOME RUN!!!!!!!! You have set the bar high with your first interview but that is why you are who you are. The interview felt comfortable and warm. Both ladies opened up to really reveal how they deal with the balance and blending. Thank you for letting everyone know, they are not alone in trying to make it all work.

    Love the interviews and how no two women deal with the work and family the same.  It’s important that each individual woman finds the balance that works best for their particular situation.  We are all juggling so many balls in the air at the same time that it’s easy to loose sight of ourselves.
