Forbes Magazine recently released their 2012 list of Hip-Hop Cash Kings, and topping that list is Dr. Dre.
Dre boasts earnings of $110 million before taxes. These earnings stem from sales of his popular headphones Beats by Dre. The top three contenders on the list all have earnings that are attributed to things outside of their music careers proving that diversity can be profitable.
At number two, Diddy comes in at $45 million with the majority of his earnings coming from profits of Ciroc. At number three, Jay-Z comes in at $38 million with earnings coming from his various business ventures such as his stake in Carol’s Daughter, the Brooklyn Nets and a deal with Duracell.
