House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said House Republicans plan to file a lawsuit against Attorney General Eric Holder on Monday in an attempt to obtain documents related to the “Fast and Furious” gun-tracking operation.
News of the decision came after the California representative sent a tweet from his personal Twitter account, stating “We are filing charges against Attorney General Eric Holder tomorrow #fastandfurious,” on Sunday night.
Rep. Issa’s decision to file comes after the Justice Department declined to prosecute Holder.
