Urban Business Roundtable Spotlight On Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men

This week on The Urban Business Roundtable, UBR contributor Samantha Pass chats with four-time Grammy Award winning singer Shawn Stockman. Stockman is one-third of the best-selling R&B group Boyz II Men and a judge on the NBC television show The Sing-Off. After selling over 60 million records, and selling out venues all over the world, Stockman now turns his attention to entrepreneurship.

Stockman is co-owner of Beatbike, an indoor cycling amphitheater located in Los Angeles. The 4,500 sq ft gym fuses high end cyclings with cutting-edge music and luxury facilities. Stockman says he is excited to share this venture with the community.

Then, Dywaine Betts Jr., sits down with world renowned motivational speaker and speech coach Les Brown. Brown’s career as a motivational author and speaker spans more than three decades. He has coached and trained numerous successful young speakers, including professionals, corporate executives and entrepreneurs from all over the nation. Brown joins the roundtable to talk with Betts about how business owners can develop a winning mindset.

And finally, every week on UBR, you’ll hear Pepper Miller’s Y.O.U.-TURN segment, get motivation and inspiration from author and educator Dr. Dennis Kimbro, a wrap-up of tech news from the chief digital aggregator for Johnson Publishing Company Jun Mhoon, and our Patient Investor Report from Ariel Investments.

Pepper Miller is the Founder and President of The Hunter Miller Group and the host of The Urban Business Roundtable, a weekly radio show, sponsored by Ariel Investments, airing CST Wednesdays at 8:30 a.m., Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. on WVON-AM 1690, the Talk of Chicago.
