The Twitterverse is constantly buzzing with an outlined play-by-play on the latest in news, entertainment and trending topics—to name a few on the long list of online conversation starters. Of course, with all that chatter it's easy to block out a lot of it, but within all the noise there's still a large percentage that catches your attention in one way or another. Timelines flooded with mentions about Oprah Winfrey’s newly-launched cable network, OWN, on Jan. 1. Although the initial sky-high ratings—approximately 1 million prime-time viewers—have declined, the network is moving towards its goal of providing the audience with 600 hours of original programming.
