YouTube’s Latest Feature Maps Out Videos Trending Across U.S.

With YouTube reportedly inching closer to paid channel subscriptions, its parent company, Google, unveiled a new feature on Tuesday that maps out today’s most popular videos. An extension of YouTube’s Trend dashboard, the Trends Map allows users to see which videos are trending right now in cities across the nation, Mashable reports.

In addition to filtering the results by age and gender, users can choose to see videos trending based on the number of shares and the number of views.

This feature is only available for U.S.-based YouTube-ers, but YouTube hinted it might roll out elsewhere in the future in a blog post.
