Don’t overlook the obvious. “I recently got a resumé without a name,” shares Jennings-Outlaw, who says the applicant’s name was only on the cover letter. “Be sure to include pertinent information such as your name, phone numbers, and e-mail address. Don’t make it difficult for a hiring manger to track you down,” she says.
Resumés that are easy to read float to the top, says Jennings-Outlaw. “Paragraphs are a big no. Bullet points are best,” she offers.
