Get Ready for the Women of Power Summit with Us - Black Enterprise
Black Enterprise Magazine September/October 2018 Issue

Can you believe that we’re a week away from the 14th Annual Women of Power Summit in Las Vegas? We are so excited about all of the programming, networking, and the record number of 1,500 professional black women who will be in attendance. There is so much in store for each and every powerful woman who is planning to join us. And each of them will be able to make their mark while in Vegas. Speaking of, there’s nothing like making a statement with a red lip. You know that bright and bold red like Ruby Woo by M.A.C.!

The vibrant color looks glorious on all hues of brown. And if you have yet to try it on, you’re in luck because Women of Power sponsor Estée Lauder is gifting attendees with their very own Ruby Woo lipstick. That’s right; it’s time to power up with your Women of Power red lip.

On Saturday, March 2nd, we have an exciting day filled with powerful one-on-one conversations between Valarie Jarrett and Symone D. Sanders. Powerhouses Stacey Abrams, Lynn Whitfield, Tracey Travis, Lisa Wardell, Pam El, Mahisha Dellinger, Evita Robinson, Tiffany Aliche, and Lisa Skeet Tatum will also be taking the stage.

And that’s not all… We’ll be topping off the night with the critically acclaimed Michael Jackson ONE Cirque du Soleil show!

If you’re as excited as we are about attending the show, you’re ready to go all out. Yes, that means you are highly encouraged to pack your red leather and shimmery jackets. If that’s not your style, join us in wearing black and white with your Ruby Woo red lipstick for the show. Spoiler alert, there will be endless photo-ops. Get into it, ladies!

And just in case you’re wondering about what to pack for the event in general, here’s a short list:

  • Formal attire (i.e. cocktail dress, gown, or suit) for the 14th Annual Legacy Awards Gala
  • Business wear for general sessions (bring it!)
  • Workout clothes if you wish to get in a morning jog
  • Casual attire (preferably black and white) for the MJ One show

If you haven’t already, download the BE Events app on iTunes or Google Play to stay in the loop on all of the latest event updates and to join the community.
