What are you looking for in a student?

The university seeks students who demonstrate academic ability as well as a commitment to their school and community. Morgan’s mission denotes that we provide access to students who would otherwise be neglected the opportunity to pursue a higher education degree. It is for this reason that many of our university resources are focused not on limiting access but providing support to students once they have arrived on campus.

What unique, university-sponsored opportunities and services abound for students at the university?

Morgan offers comprehensive academic and student activity programs which prepare students for professional life after Morgan and also provide a global view navigating socially, theoretically, and recreationally. Academic support programs assist in the intellectual development of our students, while student activity development focuses on the development of our students. Initiatives specifically focusing on various targeted population such as the Morgan Mile, Fashion at Morgan, and a plethora of Greek letter organizations help students feed their specific interests while receiving services to assist them in navigating through to graduation.

What advice do you have that is specific to Morgan State applicants?

We encourage students to keep a record of your accounts and acquaintances while going through the admissions process through graduation. This will assist students in identifying not only key personnel but key offices
