Women of Power: Exercise Your Own Power


a digital expert to the children she mentors because years before people caught on to Facebook or MySpace as a means to expand business, she was already aware of the Websites.

Looking at the faces of women leaving both sessions, I understand now the impact this summit has for women of color, including myself. As a first-timer, I’m soaking it all in like a little sponge and feel honored to be in the presence of so many extraordinary movers and shakers. One day I hope I’ll be just as personally and professionally successful.

As one woman put it best: “This summit is a scared place for women of color.” I couldn’t agree more.

The Women of Power Summit runs Feb. 11-14 at the Ritz-Carlton, Grande Lakes in Orlando, Florida.
