10. JMC Auto Group


JMC Auto Group is the largest African American-owned automotive enterprise in Texas. The Austin-based automotive enterprise operates four dealerships in Austin, San Marcos, and Houston. Single car sales generate 82.5% of its overall revenue.

J. Michael Chargois, who founded the company JMC Group in 1988, also serves as a principal in The Triangle Restaurant Group L.P. In 2006, Chargois partnered with former Detroit Lions linebacker Reggie Brown to launch the first Fat Burger franchise in Texas.
