The Matthews Automotive Group is the nation’s 22nd largest black-owned auto dealership. Founded by Irving Matthews in 1995, the company also holds the distinction of being the fourth largest minority-owned dealership in Florida.
Matthews’ auto empire is comprised of three dealerships including Prestige Ford Inc. of Mount Dora, Advantage Ford of Stuart, and Daytona Lincoln Mercury.
In 2008, the dealership group had $72 million in revenues–down 22.7% from the previous year.
