Brooks Food Group is one of the nation’s leading food service companies owned and operated by women, with 50% of Brooks Food managers being female. The organization was created in 1995 after husband-and-wife team Frank and Robin Brooks acquired Golden West Foods from McCormick.

Four years after the couple launched their dream venture, Brook’s husband passed away. Despite her tragic loss, Brooks pushed forward and has since grown the company to approximately $105 million in revenues — a 3.9% increase from the previous year.

Today, the Virginia-based business distributes more than 100 million pounds of par-cooked poultry, appetizers, side dishes, and desserts to restaurant chains across the country. The company’s clients include Burger King, the Olive Garden, Red Lobster, and Ruby Tuesday among others.
