be newsA 6-month-old baby girl in Chicago was pronounced dead after being shot five times while her father was changing her diaper in the passenger seat of a minivan.

According to reports, Jonylah Watkins was struck by a gunman who opened fire on her father, Jonathan Watkins.

Jonylah was struck in her lungs, liver, leg, shoulder and bowel. The father, who allegedly has a known gang affiliation, was also wounded and is in critical condition. Jonylah’s mother, Judy Watkins, was previously shot while carrying the child. She was working at McDonald’s at the time of the Monday shooting.
