NASCAR Driver Wendell ScottStock car racing driver Wendell Scott posthumously became the first African American inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2015. He was the first African American driver in NASCAR and the first African American to win a race in the Grand National Series,  NASCAR’s highest level, in 1963.
