Bridgerton Star Regé-Jean Page Will Make Debut on Saturday Night Live This Saturday


Netflix’s Bridgerton’s sexy star is set to host NBC’s long-running comedy sketch show on Feb. 20.

Regé-Jean Page, the show’s breakout star, will host Saturday Night Live for the first time next Saturday. The actor who portrays the dreamy Duke of Hastings Simon Basset is a 2021 SAG Award nominee. 

Page weighed in on the nomination on social media.

“There’s something extra special about being seen by your peers. Bravo team Bridgerton, for being seen as among the very finest of the world’s collective companies of peerless players,” he wrote.

He posted the SNL announcement on his Instagram account early Sunday morning.

Page will appear on the show with Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, who was nominated for two Latin Grammy Awards. 

The Zimbabwean-British actor has an extensive career that goes back to his childhood years. His IMDb boasts international credits, but he has recently taken American TV by storm. He recently appeared in Amazon Prime’s Sylvie’s Love, which also starred Tessa Thompson, Naomi King, Eva Longoria and Nnamdi Asomugha.

SNL airs Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
