Black Enterprise Magazine January-March 2019 Issue

High school senior Miles Turner was shot in his aunt’s Chicago neighborhood last October, and now he plans to return to school, NBC reports.

“From where we came from six months ago, not knowing if my son would live, and today he’s going to the prom and will soon be graduating from high school,” Turner’s father told NBC. “It’s great.”

Eighteen year old Turner and his cousin were walking when they were both shot.  Turner was shot five times. His cousin was shot twice in the chest and died.
