Childhood Home of Notorious B.I.G. Up For Sale for $725,000

The neighborhood’s changed as much as the life of it’s favorite son, right at about the time he got in the limelight for rhyming tight — and now the childhood of the Notorious B.I.G. is up for sale to the tune of $725,000.

Open houses are being held on April 3 and 7. The apartment, at 226 Saint James Place in the Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, was renovated “preserving traditional styling while answering the needs of modern usage” reads on entry of the listing on the real estate website StreetEasy.

“This third floor apartment has wonderful light and is beautifully proportioned. From the spacious east-facing living room to the formal dining room to its very well-appointed kitchen with lots of storage and prep space, this apartment has great flow and holds many options for usage. Hardwood floors, crown moldings, a coffered dining room ceiling and granite countertops are only some of its appealing details.”

The sale is being managed by Warren Lewis Sotheby’s International Realty. A realtor told New York Magazine’s Daily Intelligencer that she was indeed aware of the apartment’s historical significance in hip-hop. So there’s that.

Peep the digs here. Pretty nice, indeed.
