Dionne Warwick and Daughter-in-Law Luana Elliott Launch Activewear Line

Legendary singer Dionne Warwick partnered with her daughter-in-law Luana Elliott to launch Healthy Gal, a stylish line of workout apparel designed with popular fitness fabric Brazilian supplex to give your body the perfect support. Elliott’s love for fitness and lifelong involvement with sports inspired Healthy Gal. The physical trainer and expert tells BlackEnterprise.com she wants women to feel “fierce, flawless, empowered and absolutely gorgeous.”

Elliott has the best of both worlds, as she is not only living out her passion, but she has the council of one of the biggest names in entertainment business. “Dionne isn’t just my family, she has been in my life since I was nine. If it wasn’t for her, my life would’ve been completely different. I look at her as my role model, my mentor,” she says. “When we talk about business, we are talking about business and that’s it. She is incredible. She encourages and empowers me a lot.”

The health and wellness guru says that working with her mother-in-law has taught her “discipline, consistency, how to not be a procrastinator, diplomacy and enthusiasm. Actually, the list is pretty long.”

Warwick is just as fond of her daughter-in-law and business partner. “Luana is a fitness trainer and her creation of active wear was a natural evolution,” she says. “Working with her is an absolute joy. What could be more stimulating than working with family? In my opinion, nothing, as I feel family comes first!”
