Don’t Miss National Minority Supplier Development Council Annual Conference and Business Opportunity Exchange, Oct. 18th
The National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), the nation’s premier corporate membership organization focused exclusively on increasing opportunities for minority-owned businesses, will host its annual Conference and Business Opportunity Exchange in San Diego, CA, October 18-21.

There will be more than 6,000 industry and corporate leaders, supplier diversity professionals, and minority- owned businesses from around the globe in attendance. Workshops and seminars on such topics as sourcing and access to capital, global expansion, and aligning corporate strategic planning with minority supplier development will be available to attendees. Wells Fargo, a multinational banking and financial services company, and Technology Integration Group (TIG), a leading technology solutions provider will serve as Conference Co-Chairs.
The theme for the Conference is Economic Impact: Redefining the Business Case. “NMSDC plays a key role in the diversity and inclusion space and in the success of the global economy,†said NMSDC President Joset Wright-Lacy. “Over $400 billion dollars in annual revenue comes from the activities of NMSDC-certified MBEs. That’s $1.1 billion per day. Increasing opportunities for minority businesses is not only the right thing to do. It’s the business savvy thing to do.â€
The event kicks off on Sunday, October 18, with a Welcome Reception, and Monday highlights include the one-day Business Opportunity Exchange — one of the nation’s largest minority business tradeshows — with more than 700 corporate and MBE exhibit booths. The schedule for Tuesday and Wednesday features educational sessions for corporate procurement professionals and minority suppliers. The event concludes with an awards banquet on Wednesday evening, where winners will be announced for Corporation of the Year, Regional Council of the Year, Minority Supplier Development Leader of the Year and Suppliers of the Year.
