My Dream Speaks Gala Honors Black Enterprise BRIDGE Foundation

On Wednesday, May 4, the Global Language Project (GLP) celebrated its 4th Annual My Dream Speaks Benefit in New York City.

Bringing together more than 200 influencers in entertainment, philanthropy, art, and business, the evening honored the 2016 GLP Global Icon Awardees which included Roberta Graves, president of the Black Enterprise BRIDGE Foundation, and NAXOS of America Inc., which is the world’s largest classical music label and producer of GLP’s music CD’s for children.

With notable attendees including photographer Marc Baptiste; President of Iman Cosmetics, Desiree Reid; voice-over actor for Dora the Explorer; Fátima Ptacek, and more, guests were entertained by a performance from the Global Language Project’s Youth Choir and award-winning recording artist Cyrille Aimée.

Graves, along with NAXOS of America Inc., were honored for their service to the community and their commitment to uplifting children’s education.

This year’s event helped to raise more than $125,000 to provide world language programs to disadvantaged elementary students in New York City.
