To accelerate developments within Africa’s tech ecosystem, the Global Startup Ecosystem has geared up to host the first annual Africa Tech Summit. The goal of the summit is to bring together hundreds of entrepreneurs, investors, pioneers, and creatives under one roof to address the greatest exponential technologies, launching across the continent and its future role as the world’s final tech frontier. The summit will also serve to teach the fundamentals of frontier tech investments, startup development, and ecosystem building via exclusive workshop sessions with award-winning experts.
This summit is taking place after the run of the very successful, Ghana Tech Summit, which included a 12-year initiative of the Global Startup Ecosystem to bring global leaders to Ghana, to initiate partnerships and accelerate the country as an innovative tech hub in Africa.
“Since Ghana Tech Summit, we announced that we will be scaling the tech summit series across 20 more countries on the continent. To accelerate the ecosystem of future tech initiatives across Africa, we need to have the diaspora involved. Africa Tech Summit in America, was launched to galvanize diaspora communities in major cities around the world and bring them back to Africa. We hope this launch marks the beginning of a global movement to realize Africa’s singularity,” stated Einstein Ntim, chair of the Africa Tech Summit.
The summit breakdown will look something like this: Part one is a morning fast track, covering the latest tech developments and trends across the African continent; part two is an afternoon fast track of intense workshops and keynote sessions with the goal of teaching the basics of startup development, investment, and ecosystem building; part three is an exclusive VIP evening networking session with round tables and private meetings with speakers, experts, investors, and ecosystem leaders.
The Africa Tech Summit will take place Dec. 14, 2018, at the SAP America, Inc., office in New York City. For more information, click here.
