I have seen firsthand in my profession as a registered nurse how business can negatively impact your health if it’s not a priority.

I’m going to share with you a few health strategies you can begin to use immediately to help you live a healthier life and ultimately make more money in your business. The reality is, you cannot obtain real business success if you don’t have success in your health. How can you effectively lead your company if you are not well? Having good health is the real key to obtaining wealth.

Learn to Say No

This may seem easy but it can be very difficult for some business owners to do. Most people take on more tasks than they realize. Our brains were not created to multitask even though we do it all the time. The more you put on your plate the more stress you will feel and it increases your risk for disease and mental breakdowns. Instead of taking on more duties, delegate, task, or hire someone to help you. You must stay in your genius zone, which will allow you to do the tasks you really enjoy. The more you take off your plate the better you will feel mentally and physically so you can make more money.

Eat Healthy & Work Out

I know you have heard this time and time again, but most still do not commit to it. Did you know that when you eat well you increase the years on your lifespan? The foods you eat also have a direct link to your mood and how focused you are. If you have a high fat diet with tons of carbs and sugars, you increase your risk for heart disease. When you work out your blood is pumping and your heart is racing, which allows your brain to receive the oxygen it needs to fulfill your goals. When you eat the wrong foods and don’t exercise you are more tired, sluggish, and don’t have the proper nutrients your brain needs to stay sharp and on point so you can make more money.

Decrease the Stress in Your Life

Stress can literally kill you if you let it. Stress can negatively impact your health when experienced for prolong periods. When you are faced with stressful situations, your brain releases a hormone called adrenaline and this can cause problems throughout your entire system. Stress can cause headaches, depression, and even increase your risk for heart attacks and strokes. You must be willing to make the necessary adjustments to get rid of stressful people, relationships, or even a stressful job in your life. If you can’t remove the stress, then make an effort by learning to deal with the stress using prayer, medication, and exercise.

Living a healthy life is extremely important for entrepreneurs. It consists of a 360-degree approach–spiritually, mentally, and physically. Your business is important but not more important than your health. Without your health, you have no business. Healthy business owners make more money because they have more energy and are more focused. Remember, your health is your wealth and the success in your business is truly based on that.
