How to Avoid ‘Partying For a Good Cause’ This Christmas

It’s the holidays, folks. And while Santa Claus might be a fictional character, Scrooge is very, very, boldly and conspicuously and painfully real. What am I talking about?

I’m talking about party promoters and the like who promote “charity” and “goodwill” during the holidays by pandering to would-be revelers, duping them into spending hundreds of dollars to contribute to this charity or that cause. In reality, overhead for events at expensive venues where these events take place is often times too much for a charity to get a substantial gift.
