Kenosha Shooter Kyle Rittenhouse Makes $2 Million Bail With Assistance From Child Star Ricky Schroder and The CEO of My Pillow

Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old gunman who fatally shot two Black Lives Matter protesters and injured a third during a demonstration in Kenosha, Wisconsin, earlier this year has been released from jail on $2 million bail. According to a Twitter post by his attorney, Lin Wood, Rittenhouse received help from former child actor Silver Spoon’s Ricky Schroder and Mike Lindell, the CEO of My Pillow.

Back in August, a fundraising effort on a Christian crowdfunding website raised more than $97,000 for the Kenosha shooting suspect.

Rittenhouse has been charged with killing two men with an AR-15 rifle in Wisconsin during the protests over the police shooting of Jacob Blake, an unarmed Black man, who was shot multiple times in front of his children. Rittenhouse faces six criminal counts in Wisconsin, including first-degree intentional homicide. Rittenhouse was released from prison late last week.

The shooting incident took place in Kenosha after a police officer shot Blake seven to eight times in the back. Blake’s shooting sparked a slew of protests and civil unrest around the country. Rittenhouse had a friend purchase an assault rifle for him and then traveled from Illinois with a group of counterprotesters, who said they were there to defend property.

His friend, Dominick Black, allegedly obtained the Smith & Wesson M&P15 rifle after Rittenhouse had given him money to pay for the weapon. Black had signed paperwork stating that the gun purchase was for his use, according to prosecutors.
