BlackEnterprise.com looks to financial expert and Senior Editor, Personal Finance at Black Enterprise, Stacey Tisdale, for tips on how to maintain and set expectations for your finances when dealing with the needs of loved ones. Tisdale offers notes on the risk of lending money and managing expectations in order to remain financially grounded. “You have to look at your personal economy and know how [lending] will affect your own life,” says Tisdale. “How will it affect your ability to give to your immediate family that you have to take care of?”

Check out Tisdale’s helpful insight on loaning money below and learn more about building your wealth at the 2016 Black Enterprise Women of Power Summit, March 9-12, 2016, Hilton Diplomat Resort & Spa, Hollywood, Florida. Register now.
