With more than 75% of the US connected to the web via a mobile device, it’s no surprise the power button rarely gets turned off on our beloved gadgets. But what if we told you your connected-all-the-time mentality was causing damage to your sleeping pattern?

Ninety-five percent of people admitted to regularly browsing the web, texting or watching television in the hour before bed, according to OnlinePsychologyDegree.net. Those habits are causing people to stay awake longer and have a less restful night’s sleep, among other issues. The online psychology resource compiled the findings into a neat infographic, shown below.
