LeBron James Pushes Uninvited Fan Away From Him During Game

The man was kicked out of the arena after getting on the basketball court to speak to the Lakers superstar

It looks like security at the Crypto.com Arena is lax, at least when it comes to protecting the star player of the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James.

Earlier this week at the home arena of the Lakers, as James was sitting on the bench, relaxing and putting on a long sleeve shirt over his basketball jersey, a fan approached him as if they were good friends. Although you can’t hear what is being said, James looked shocked that the man was talking to him, and after a second or two, the Lakers superstar pushed him away. Just when James pushed him, personnel on the floor approached the man, and he was led off the floor by security.

The scene was captured and posted on social media.

Complex reported that the incident took place on Monday, Jan. 15 when the Lakers played the Oklahoma Thunder in celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday. As fans are not allowed to be on the floor with the players, it was reported that the fan was thrown out of the arena immediately after making contact with James.

After the incident, there was no game stoppage. The scary occurrence did not stop “King James,” as he scored 25 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and dished out six assists, with the Lakers winning 112-105.

The future NBA Hall of Famer won an Emmy in December when a film he produced, Recipe for Change: Standing Up to Antisemitism, won in the category of Outstanding Daytime Special at the Creative Arts and Lifestyle. The ceremony was held in Los Angeles, according to The Associated Press.
