T’yanna Wallace, the daughter of the late Brooklyn rap legend Christopher ‘Biggie Smalls’ Wallace, is making a name for herself. Brooklyn’s own “Princess” is set to unveil the launch of her first-ever beauty product in tandem with Wet-N-Wild beauty. Although her father isn’t here to see what has become of her, the 27-year-old is building her own empire while honoring the hip-hop legend through her notable business ventures.
Black Enterprise caught up with Wallace, who shared details of her “Big Poppa Mascara” Wet-N-Wild cosmetic collaboration, which was named after one of her father’s popular monikers.
BE: How does it feel to collaborate with one of the most iconic makeup brands, Wet-N-Wild Beauty?
I am so excited for this collaboration, It feels great to be partnering with Wet-N-Wild! I have been a frequent customer of the brand so when the opportunity was presented I jumped on it. Besides, how cool is it to work with brands you’ve already been supporting for so many years?
The “Big Poppa” branded mascara effortlessly merges with your fashion empire. Was the naming pre-planned or was it aligned synchronicity?
The naming of this collection was indeed aligned synchronicity. The creative team had come up with the entire concept of the name and approached me in being a part of it.
You’ll be showcasing the “Big Poppa Mascara” via your social media platforms, which must be exciting. Can you elaborate more on the social media rollout for the content?
I will be collaborating with them to do some social giveaways, which will include my “Big Poppa Mascara” and some additional signature Wet-N-Wild products. The selected winners of the giveaway will also receive some special Notorious products as well.
Can your followers anticipate any additional beauty products in the future with the Notorious Clothing line and Wet-N-Wild?
I hope so! I am always looking for ways to expand the empire so stay tuned.
