Obama Appoints BE A.G. Gaston Award Recipient to Key Administration Post

BlackEnterprise.com has just learned that this year’s A.G. Gaston Award recipient, Janice Bryant Howroyd, has been appointed to a key administration post by President Barack Obama.

Bryant Howroyd will serve as a member of the President’s Board of Advisors on historically black colleges and universities.

“I am confident that these experienced and hardworking individuals will help us tackle the important challenges facing America, and I am grateful for their service,” President Obama said of his new appointees. “I look forward to working with them.”

Bryant Howroyd will be honored with the A.G. Gaston Lifetime Achievement Award tonight at the Black Enterprise Entrepreneurs Summit. The  A.G. Gaston Award “recognizes the entrepreneurial spirit and the guiding light of an individual who has established an extended and consistently distinguished record of success.”
