The Obama administration is continuing to show its dedication to fighting sexual assault cases on college campuses and universities across the nation.

On Friday, Sept. 19, President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden will host a White House event to launch their new public awareness campaign called “It’s On Us” that will work to prevent college sexual assault cases from occurring nationwide. The campaign will also work to change the culture surrounding sexual assault incidents on campus, and to get more men on board to partake in preventing these acts of crime from occurring.

The “It’s On Us” campaign will build upon the White House sexual assault prevention campaigns launched earlier this year including the NotAlone.gov website and the new public service announcements for the 1 is 2 Many campaign.

The event will take place this Friday in the East Room of the White House and will be live streamed from whitehouse.gov.
