Obama Speaks Out on Ban on Gay Boy Scouts

Boy Scouts of America will be meeting this week to consider ending its long-time ban against boys who identify as gay.

During a pre-Super Bowl interview on CBS, Scott Pelley asked President Obama if the boy scouts should be open to gays, and he said yes.

“Gays and lesbians should have access and opportunity the same as anybody else,” he said.

Others politicians such as former Republican Presidential candidate Rick Perry would like the gay ban to stay in place.
