Confirmed: Uzo Aduba and Amber Riley Join 'The Wiz Live!'

It’s official. “Orange Is the New Black” star Uzo Aduba and Amber Riley of “Glee” have joined the cast of NBC’s “The Wiz Live!” according to reports.

Aduba, popular for her role as Crazy Eyes on OITNB, will play Glinda, the Good Witch of the South, and Riley will be Addaperle, the Good Witch of the North.

The network confirmed Queen Latifah, who will play the Wiz and Mary J. Blige, who is set as the Wicked Witch of the West late last month, along with David Alan Grier who will be the Cowardly Lion, Stephanie Mills, who will play Aunt Em, and newcomer Shanice Williams, who earned the lead role of Dorothy after beating out hundreds of applicants with her rendition of “Be a Lion.”

The 18-year-old will star in the show and join the ranks of superstar songstresses including Diana Ross, who starred in Motown cult classic film and Stephanie Mills, who wowed audiences in the original Broadway production.
