No stranger to the media world, Queon “Q” Martin is continuing to transform the media landscape. CARTER™ Magazine is a social business that uses media as an educational tool by inspiring young people to be the voice that bridges history and shapes hip-hop culture.
The name CARTER pays homage to Dr. Carter G. Woodson, historian, author, journalist and Founder of Black History Month.
BE Modern Man had the unique opportunity to sit down with Q at Sir D’s restaurant in Brooklyn, New York, to talk about CARTER™ Magazine, the relationship that our ancestors have to present day events in our community, and his new segment show “Currency Exchange.”
