Porsha Williams Lands Three-Part Special Amid Recent Engagement Announcement
After becoming a trending topic this week with her shocking engagement announcement, Porsha Williams is gearing up to star in her own three-part special on her life.
Bravo announced the mini spinoff on Tuesday as William’s name broke the internet over her and Simon Guobadia confirming their relationship, Page Six reports. Guobadia made a brief appearance on The Real Housewives of Atlanta alongside his soon-to-be ex-wife Falynn Guobadia. However, the scandal attached to their engagement announcement has nothing to do with Williams getting a solo spin-off special.
“It was greenlit months ago, so it has nothing to do with this [engagement] news,” a source told the outlet. “The special is supposed to focus on Porsha, her activism and her family.”
As the granddaughter of civil rights activist Hosea Williams, the younger Williams put herself on the frontlines of the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020 to advocate against the fatal police shooting of Breonna Taylor. She covered her activism and protest-related arrests on season 12 of RHOA.

But her social justice work has taken a backburner to the scandal surrounding her new relationship. Simon’s ex Falynn appeared on the show as “Porsha’s friend,” so show fans were left slack-jawed when Williams posted a lengthy caption confirming her newfound romance with Simon and claiming she and Falynn were “not friends.”
“Our relationship began a month ago—yes we are crazy in love. I know it’s fast but we are living life each day to its fullest,” she captioned a selfie alongside the Nigerian film producer. “For all of you that need facts, I get the optics but Simon filed for divorce from a previous marriage in January. I had nothing to do with their divorce filing. That’s between the two of them. Falynn and I are not friends, and Simon’s divorce has been settled,” she declared.
But insiders are hinting at the possibility of a pregnancy after Guobadia admitted to proposing to the Bravo star.
“If she’s engaged to him and she’s pregnant [with his child], that could change things,” the source added. “It would obviously become part of [the special].”
Whether she’s expecting another child or not, Porsha is securing the bag and expanding her brand to provide more mainstream coverage of her work within the Black Lives Matter movement. Can’t hate on that.
