Ryan Leslie Says Cassie Is ‘Planning For A Tour’ After Diddy Settlement

Cassie has plans for a musical comeback, according to her ex-boyfriend and former collaborator, Ryan Leslie.

Cassie has plans for a musical comeback and the support of her ex-boyfriend and former collaborator Ryan Leslie.

TMZ caught up with Leslie in New York City on Tuesday, Dec. 12, where he was asked about the current status of his relationship with Cassie, whose sexual assault lawsuit against Diddy was settled in 24 hours. According to Leslie, anything that happened to Cassie at the hands of Sean “Diddy” Combs happened “much later” after they had parted ways.

Leslie has spoken to the “Me and You” singer in recent years after the 2017 death of their former manager, Ed Woods. According to Leslie, Cassie is planning to release new music and go on tour.

“The last conversation we had she’s planning for a tour,” Leslie revealed. “So we had talked about that.”

Leslie brought Cassie over to Diddy’s Bad Boy label in 2005. She did get signed to Bad Boy. But according to her shocking 35-page lawsuit, it was an unfortunate move.

In the suit, Cassie accused Diddy of subjecting her to a pattern of control and abuse over about a decade. She also accused him of rape, plying her with drugs, beating her, and forcing her to have sex with a series of male prostitutes while he filmed the encounters as part of his “freak offs.”

In 2018, near the end of their relationship, Cassie claimed Diddy forced his way into her home and raped her.

“After years in silence and darkness,” Cassie said in a statement, “I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.”

Diddy has denied Cassie’s allegations along with those in three additional additional lawsuits filed by women. The Bad Boy founder has experienced a drastic fall from grace in recent weeks after stepping down as chairman of his company Revolt along with having his Hulu reality show scrapped.

The Grammys are “evaluating” whether or not Diddy will be invited to attend the award show despite being nominated.
