Dr. Ajala takes a look at Soul Food, which is extremely popular in the African American community, and how it’s laden with fats, salt, and oil that contributes to an unhealthy diet.

Studies done by Duke University on the (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) DASH diet, find that many African Americans struggle with following the guidelines. The researchers believe that contributions to this are the cultural preference for Soul Food.
