Tweet #ThankAVet on November 11 to Support Veterans

Twitter can be a socially acceptable way of being a narcissist but why not use 140 characters to spread a positive message to help someone else? This Veteran’s Day, the History network wants you to honor veterans and tweet #ThankAVet to help provide guide dogs at no cost to visually impaired and disabled veterans.

More than 21 million Americans are veterans and the network will donate $1 to VetDogs, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization founded by the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind and serves the needs of disabled veterans and active duty personnel, (up to $10,000) for every tweet using the hashtag.

Visit the History channel’s twitter page dedicated to this social campaign, and this Sunday use the hashtag to check out all the other users tweeting the message. Show your gratitude and let’s make this a trending topic!
