T.I. Pulled Over On Atlanta Highway, Caught Speeding By Georgia State Trooper

The 'Rubber Band Man' rapper almost crashed into another car as he sped by police officer

Recently released footage showed Atlanta recording artist and reality TV celebrity Clifford “T.I.” Harris being pulled over on an Atlanta highway after speeding past a police officer.

The footage shows the police car following T.I.’s Range Rover. When the officer approached his car, he asked the rapper to step outside the car, and he informed T.I. why he stopped him after explaining that he sped by him and almost hit another car. He noticed that there were no tags and questioned T.I., to which T.I. responded that he had just purchased the vehicle that day. The police officer asked him why he was driving like that, and Tip said that his “girl” was getting on his nerves.

“I was arguing with my girl. She was getting on my nerves. I apologize. She was getting under my skin.”

He then asked if he had any drinks as the officer said his eyes were bloodshot, but he insisted that he didn’t drink.

“Sir, I understand that you have a very difficult job,” T.I. stated. “I understand that there’s a lot of stress that comes with that job. I don’t want to add to it.” As they continue to talk, T.I. says, “I’m telling you the honest-to-God truth. Me and my old lady were arguing. If you go ask her, she’ll tell you. We were arguing, and I was trying to get home as fast as I could to get out of the car.”

The police officer was calm and non-confrontational as T.I. got someone on the phone to try to confirm that the vehicle belonged to him and that paperwork was being processed. T.I. went on to tell the officer that he was just in a rush to get back home so that way they could get out of each other’s way and be in their own “space.”

“I just wanted to get home as fast as I could so we could get out of the car so I can go to my space and she can go to her space.”

HipHopDX reported that T.I. was given three citations and allowed to leave the scene.
