Rapper T.I. Angry About Hip-Hop-Boston Bombing Connection

be newsAfter celebrity news website TMZ posted that one of the Boston Marathon bombers was heavy into hip-hop and frequented a website that featured T.I.’s photo prominently, the Atlanta MC reached out to the media to set the record straight, TMZ reports.

“Hip hop narrates the activity and conditions of our culture,” he told TMZ. “It doesn’t create them.”

One of the suspects also tweeted a lyric from Jay-Z before he was killed.

T. I. was reportedly frustrated and angry that hip-hop had been brought into the entire ordeal and said, “Hip hop ain’t never been about hurting innocent people… Boston was a horrible tragedy and my prayers go out to the families involved.”
