[TechConnext Summit] Mayor Kevin Johnson Confirmed for TechConneXt


Kevin Johnson, the first African American mayor of the City of Sacramento, will be hosting a tech talk at the inaugural Black Enterprise TechConneXt Summit, October 12-13, in Silicon Valley.

Since entering office in 2008, Mayor Johnson has been on a mission to reshape the city of Sacramento by creating jobs and economic development, launching sustainability initiatives, improving public safety, and enhancing the local quality of life. He is currently president of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, and chair of the National Resilient Communities for America Campaign. He also is a member of the White House Task Force on Climate Preparedness and Resilience. Needless to say, as a community advocate, Mayor Johnson has profound insight on leadership, economic growth, and the importance of innovation and job creation.
