Tiffany Haddish’s New Tell-All Book ‘I Curse You With Joy’ Coming 2024

Comedian Tiffany Haddish has so much more to tell, and it will be revealed in her new book coming in 2024.

Even after the success of her memoir, comedian Tiffany Haddish has so much more to tell, and it will be revealed in her new book coming in 2024.

The Girls Trip star is set to release her second book, called I Curse You With Joy. Set to release in May 2024 from Diversion Books, Haddish’s second effort is a collection of essays and stories, People reports.

“I’m so excited to share the rollercoaster of success that I’ve been on with my readers, and to show them that just because I’m famous, that doesn’t mean I’m not human,” Haddish said in a statement.

“I find the joy in the hardest things in life which you’ll all be able to read about in this new book.”

The book follows Haddish’s life on- and offscreen, including her continued journey to heal from her childhood trauma and the “bittersweet” reunion with her estranged family after 20 years apart. Haddish also covers her journey navigating the entertainment industry as a Black female comedian.

“Readers love Tiffany for her authentic, heartfelt humor. The Tiffany you meet within the pages of I CURSE YOU WITH JOY is the same Tiffany that Beyoncé and Jay-Z meet at the Grammys after party,” editor Elizabeth Gassman said about the book.

“She’s your best friend who made it big, and she is still keeping it real.”

I Curse You With Joy follows Haddish’s 2017 New York Times best-selling book The Last Black Unicorn, in which she opened up about her childhood trauma growing up in foster care and described her journey to find her voice in comedy. She followed up with a children’s book in 2022, Layla, the Last Black Unicorn, which tells the story of a young Black unicorn who attends school for the first time.

Her new tell-all comes in the wake of two DUI arrests, the most recent one bringing criminal charges against her. Following that arrest, Haddish told Entertainment Tonight, “I’m going to get some help so I can learn balance and boundaries.”

Her second book could help start a rebrand and comeback to her entertainment career.

“This book is me, highs and lows,” Haddish said in a press release. “The good, the bad, the ugly and of course the funny.”

She continued: “The wig is off. I’m not wearing any makeup. No lashes. I’m going to spill the tea of my life, all the stuff that makes me more alive, more human and way more interesting than that beautiful wax mannequin of me in Madame Tussauds.”
