Under Armour Releases New Orleans-Inspired Shoe For Stephen Curry

All-Star Weekend is upon us, and it’s high time for the latest round of loopy and creative shoewear from the NBA’s best and brightest.

For Under Armour’s Stephen Curry, there’s a regionally inspired look for the big game.

“The design speaks to NOLA’s relationship with the spiritual world,” an Under Armour spokesman said. “The Smoky graphic on the upper embodies the mystery around Voodoo.”

The indigo and purple colorways are meant to represent the sacred, and the qualities of physical strength and wisdom.

Curry is enjoying a stellar season for the Warriors, which are 31-22 heading into the All-Star break, after a devastating loss to the Miami Heat which saw LeBron James hit the game-winning shot from 30 feet on the left wing. The team is currently third in the Pacific Division. In addition to Under Armour, Curry also endorses Muscle Milk and Degree.
