Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show: Meet 5 Black Models Who Kill the Runway

2. Jasmine Tookes
Born on Feb. 1, 1991, in Huntington Beach, California, Tookes earned her spot on the runways of Tom Ford, Dolce & Gabbana, and Marc Jacobs after beginning her modeling career in an Abercrombie & Fitch catalog. According to The New York Post, Oprah Winfrey had watched Tookes perform on the catwalk in 2011 and was so infatuated with the model that she was in awe of the youngster’s “buttery soft skin.” Winfrey wasn’t the only one noticing the beauty, as Tookes was selected to be one of 11 new models for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2012, and became a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2015.
