Celebrating Creativity and Mentorship at HBCU First LOOK Film Festival

What happens when you offer a cash prize, internship opps, mentoring, and expert master classes to HBCU student filmakers? You get the inaugural HBCU First LOOK Film Festival! It takes place at Howard University Nov. 10-12 featuring student-created films, a special showing of the Netflix film "Rustin," and master clases by media mogul Cathy Hughes, award-winning costume designer Ruth Carter, actress Terri J. Vaughn and many more. "Class is in Session" speaks with the festival's creator, Sheila Eldridge, CEO of Miles Ahead Entertainment and Broadcasting, and a recent Howard graduate, Alana McClellan, on film industry careers and the value of mentoring.
