HBCU Excellence on ESPN: Orange Blossom Classic

A major celebration of HBCU athletics, education, and culture is returning to Miami Gardens, Florida on Labor Day Weekend. The Bulldogs of South Carolina State University take on the Florida A&M Rattlers at the Orange Blossom Classic. The nationally-televised matchup takes place Sunday, Sept. 6 at 3pm as the feature of the Classic, which includes a weekend of events for family, bands, and football fans. Today, we’ll talk with Kendra Bulluck, Executive Director of the Orange Blossom Classic and one of the few female owners and operators of a major sports property, and we’ll hear from FAMU alum, former NFL athlete, and current FAMU head football coach Quinn Gray, Sr. on how his team is preparing for the big game and how the Classic elevates visibility for all HBCUs.
