Lost Boyz Legacy and The Future of Hip Hop

Coming out of the Borough of Queens in New York City, Lost Boyz, featuring members MC Mr. Cheeks, Freaky Tah, DJ Spigg Nice and Pretty Lou, is one of the most influential hip hop groups of the ‘90s. The murder of Tahliq “Freaky Tah” Rogers, in a case of mistaken identity, had an indelible impact on the hip-hop community and American music. Today, 25 years since Roger’s passing, his son and Lost Boyz member Kahlil “Freaky Kah” Emery joins Beyond The Hype to talk about what’s happening and what’s next for the group, and how he is honoring his father’s legacy.
