We Celebrate our Women of Power Awardees

On this edition of Women of Power, we're gearing up for our next upcoming Women of Power Summit by paying respect to the many women who paved the way. Each have become Black Enterprise WPS Legacy awardees for their work. We first sit down with Eleanor Holmes Norton, a politician still marching on the steps of Washington, DC, nearly 50 years after being an activist during the Civil Right Movement. Then we pay homage to Dionne Warwick, whose career spans more than half-a-century as a singer and entertainer. From there, we put a spotlight on Ntozake Shange, a playwright and poet who helped turn the Black Power Movement into the Black Arts Movement. And finally, we hear from one of the world's most beloved African American poet, Nikki Giovanni.
