If you’re in the market to purchase a new home, you might be excited to hear about Wells Fargo Home Lending’s new home ownership contest. If you enter and win, you could receive up to $250,000 to go toward the purchase of a new home.
Wells Fargo Home Lending says it plans to give away three $250,000 cash prizes to three contestants who answer the contest question: “What makes a place feel like a home?†Submissions can be made in the form of words or images.
Those interested can submit an online entry at www.wellsfargo.com/homecontest. In order to qualify, you’ll have to submit a complete mortgage loan application for the purchase of residential real estate with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage by August 31, 2014. If you’re chosen as one of the lucky winners, you’ll be allowed to use the cash to pay down your mortgage, renovate, or even spend the prize money however you decide.
If you live in Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Dakota, or Tennessee, a mortgage application is not required.
“Today’s interest rates make it a good time to buy a home,†says Greg Gwizdz, executive vice president and national retail sales manager with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, in a written statement.
